Six wins out of seven, one clear of and better than both the runner-up and third placed. 

The results of the latest day tournament organised by the Malta Scrabble Club followed this template across the two sections in which the total of twenty participants were grouped. 

In Section A, the top three were Nicky Vella Laurenti (shown in photo), Josephine Mayo and Mario Saliba, whilst Frans Farrugia, Pauline Cilian and Carmen Stafrace made up the top trio in Section B.

Symbolising his difficult albeit successful journey to victory, Laurenti played the word 'JEEP' for 85 points to win the prize for the highest non-bingo of the day, whilst also jeeping his way further up the player rating list with a handsome gain of 35 points. The highest riser, however, was Josephine Mayo, who with 44 points gained, has consolidated her position among the top ten on the latest player rating list.
